Please follow the links below to access lists of activities compiled by the classteacher that you and your child could complete at home. Please note that while it would be great if you did manage to complete some of these activities, as home circumstances vary greatly, please do not feel you have to. These activities are suggestions only. Many activities listed will require leading by an adult. Learning about topics both you and your child are interested in will result in the highest quality learning.

IT'SSUMMERTIME!!
Hello 4G,
I hope you all have a safe and happy summer break! I can not wait to catch up with you all in September and to see all your smiling faces again. I have missed you all very much and feel super lucky to be you class teacher for another while.
Love,
Miss Gormley
Take a look at the picture attached and use your creative writing skills to produce an exciting adventure for me to read. Remember to include paragraphs, punctuation and plenty of WOW words as well as the expanded-noun phrases we have been working on this week. I'm already looking forward to reading them (:
Can you take part in a sports day at home? Here are lots of ideas of things you can do! If you do take part, please send me some pictures and I'll share them on our class page. Anyone that does join in will also receive a certificate from me via email.
One of my favourite things to do is read a book with you all, have a look at the document below to find out how we can all read the same book at the same pace. Keep checking back here to see pictures of children's illustrations and some book club questions. I can't wait to read The Ickabog by JK Rowling!
Here are some additional resources for Myths and Legends, please do not feel you have to complete all of the work here. Myths and Legends is our topic for the whole half term.
Below you will find further links to external sites designed to support families while home schooling their children during lockdown
The Oak National AcademyThis is a new collection of high-quality lessons and online resources. Backed by the Government, it has been created in response to the coronavirus lockdown. The online classroom offers free access to great teachers, delivering video lessons, quizzes and worksheets. This could be used by parents to supplement the other activities detailed on this page. Parents should decide how much time studying is suitable for their child/circumstances.
The Departmaent of EducationThe Department of Education have brought together a list of online educational resources to help children to learn at home. (KS1 is Y1 and Y2, KS2 is Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6).
Welcome to Year 4G!
Welcome to the Year 4G class page, here you will find updates of what we have been up to in class and some useful links.
We have had a great time so far this term and are looking forward to learning lots about God's wonderful world and having plenty of fun!
Homework is given out each Friday and is due in the following Wednesday.
As year 4's have their times tables test at the end of the year we would suggest our pupils use Times Tables Rockstar at home to practice times tables. Each pupil has their own log-in and can use it from home.
Some of your lovely children have shown a keen interest in extra homework which is great. I would like to recommend you google 'topmarks'. This is a good site and you may then search any school topic for games and activities for your child. Try searching 'nouns' and play the fish and worm game. Also try searching place value there are some super age related activities.
