Y1W

“Let’s not get tired of doing good, because in time we’ll have a harvest if we don’t give up.”

 Galatians 6:9

Welcome to Y1W

Welcome to Y1W's class page. Here you will find lots of pictures of things that we have been up to and some useful information about Year 1.

October is the Month of the Holy Rosary

During October, we will be saying the Rosary every week. We gather around the beautiful statue of Mary and pray together. We have made our own GIANT rosary beads to help us better understand how they are used.

Teddy Bear's Picnic

How lovely it was to meet all of your lovely teddy bears! We enjoyed hearing all about their personalities, playing games together and eating a yummy picnic. Here are some photographs from a super fun day.

Communities

During our Geography WOW Week, the children looked at our school community and our local community. Here are some photos of the children making 'messy maps', aren't they wonderful?

Mary's Birthday

We celebrated Our lady's birthday by going to visit her statue and singing 'Happy Birthday'. We then said her very special prayer before going back to class to make her beautiful birthday cards and to celebrate with some birthday cake.

Harvest Festival

Thank you so much for your very generous contributions to our Harvest offering this year!
