New Parent Support Emails (to only be used if needed during a lockdown) below
We are currently exploring the theme, 'COURAGE' through class discussion and also drawing using pencil and oil pastel.
Courage is one of the GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. We will learn more about the HOLY SPIRIT as we approach the feast of PENTECOST which is on Sunday 5th June.
As we prepared for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, we shared a selection of Bible stories to help us understand the idea of sin, repentance and forgiveness.
Based upon the Bible story, 'The Prodigal Son' Luke 15. 11-32, we have explored the image painted by Rembrandt. As a class, and also in smaller groups, we discussed how this story has been brought to life by the artist, and how the Dutch painter has expressed the exact moment of the son's repentance and the father's forgiveness.
Each year at Our Lady of Grace, we design and create GIFTS FOR MARY. We wanted to make our designs simple, but we also wanted them to have certain moving parts. We designed a simple Angel template and explored how we could make certain parts move.
Our final pieces were shown in a pop up exhibition in the hall for the whole school to see, and then presented during an Advent Mass.
