A message to our wonderful Y6's

Coronovirus school closure 2020

Please follow the links below to access lists of activities compiled by the classteacher that you and your child could complete at home. Please note that while it would be great if you did manage to complete some of these activities, as home circumstances vary greatly, please do not feel you have to. These activities are suggestions only. Many activities listed will require leading by an adult. Learning about topics both you and your child are interested in will result in the highest quality learning.

Below you will find further links to external sites designed to support families while home schooling their children during lockdown. 

  • The Oak National Academy This is a new collection of high-quality lessons and online resources. Backed by the Government, it has been created in response to the coronavirus lockdown. The online classroom offers free access to great teachers, delivering video lessons, quizzes and worksheets. This could be used by parents to supplement the other activities detailed on this page. Parents should decide how much time studying is suitable for their child/circumstances.
  • The Department of Education The Department of Education have brought together a list of online educational resources to help children to learn at home. (KS1 is Y1 and Y2, KS2 is Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6).
