Welcome tYear 1G

A warm welcome to all of our children and families.

In year 1 we are preparing for an exciting curriculum full of fun and adventure with Christ at the centre.

Keep an eye on our class page where we will share our year 1 experience.

We created drama freeze frames based on the Pentecost story and gift of the holy spirit of understanding.

We had a really lovely day celebrating 'The Feast of Our Lady', we enjoyed a beautiful mass service. We crowned The Our Lady statue while saying 'The Hail Mary'.

Pupils in Year 1G learnt about the significance of the cross by creating artwork.

We talked about the Preparation of the Gifts and how it is a special part of Mass. We were provided with artefacts so that we could role-play the offertory service.

Recently we looked at two different artists. We studied the work of Esther Mahlangu and Andy Warhol. Here are some photo's of us recreating similar styles of art.

On Friday afternoons, we sometimes look at artists and their artwork. Here are some of our favourites:

Black History Month - Mary Seacole

At Our Lady of Grace, we respect and value one another.
