Staff PE Questionnaire


The Four Objectives of the Primary PE funding

  • To improve the quality of existing PE teaching through continuing professional learning in PE for generalists, so that all primary pupils improve their health, skills and physical literacy, and have broader exposure to a range of sports.
  • To increase participation levels in competitive sport and healthy activity of pupils, and maintain these into adolescence.
  • To increase the quality of initial teacher training in PE and sport, and to promote PE specialisation in primary level workforce
  • Schools understand and value the benefits of high quality, PE and sport, including its use as a tool for whole school improvement.

Do you feel the children enjoy the QFirst Sport coaching?



Yes, very much. The teachers always deliver fun and lively lessons that are very enjoyable.


What have you learnt from observing these coaching lessons?


Lots – useful warm up, cool down sessions.

Relevant skills games and how to organise them. Groups/partner work.


Has your confidence increased by observing these lessons?


Yes I am more able to deliver something when it has been modeled for me.


In what areas has your confidence improved?


I feel more confident in planning and delivering activities which target specific skills but are also fun for the children.


Are there any areas of PE that you would like to work on?



Hockey is the area that I am least confident.



Are there any other comments you would like to make?



QFirst Sports has been so valuable, not just as a model for the teachers but for the children to be taught by specialists.
