The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers.
If you would like more information regarding any aspect of Free School Meals and/or Pupil Premium Funding please do not hesitate to contact Mr Collins at school.
Below is a range of information on how we put the funding to good use and how we measure the impact the funding has.
Our Lady of Grace has used the funding in the following ways.
1. Staff. The funding has enabled key members of staff to commit an appropriate percentage of their time to the successful assessment of the needs of children eligible for the funding, the planning and delivering of initiatives/measures to target those needs and the reviewing of the impact this process has had on the progress/experiences of pupil premium children at Our Lady of Grace.
2. Special Projects. The funding has provided high quality enrichment opportunities specifically for pupil premium funded children & focused support from specialised teachers on a 1 to 1 basis. The purchase of items identified as beneficial to a particular child, this may include music lessons, the purchase of an ipad or contribution towards the cost of extra curricular activities.
Please see the latest Pupil Premium Statement below and the recent report to Governors for more detail.
