When freezing temperatures are forecast, it is important that we plan carefully to ensure the school site is as safe as possible.

Mr Collins and the Site Manager, Mr Jones have conducted a ‘Frozen Ground Risk Assessment’ and concluded the following:

School 'Drop Off' Guidance for Parents

1. Only the Main Pedestrian Gate on Highfield Road and the Main Willow Road Gate will be open when playgrounds are icy.  These are marked with green circles on the map below.
2. Children will be able to access the school building from 8:50am by using one of four entrances.  

            EYFS Main Doors/School Hall/Mrs Poole’s classroom door & the B49A3/Adventure Playground door.  

            These are marked with yellow circles on the map below.

3. Except for children in the Early Years (who must use the EYFS Entrance), children in Y1-Y6 can be dropped off at any entrance and school staff will ensure they get to class safely. Siblings should be dropped off together at the same door.
4. Registers will remain open until 9:15am on icy days. Please take your time and get here safely.
