We work hard in Y4CJ but still try to have as much fun as possible. On this page you will find out about some of the things we do. We hope you enjoy exploring our page
Our American Friend!
Today we had a special visit from Sean Hartofilis who is a Film Maker all the way from New York! He is visiting Manchester to attend the Film Festival as his latest movie is being shown there. We really enjoyed having our questions answered and finding out about what it's like to make a film.
World Book Day
Keeping with our school's fairy tale theme we are carrying out lots of fun activities linked to fairy tales over the next two days. We will be sharing our favourite fairy tales, making masks and hats, creating wanted posters for fairy tale villains, making book marks amongst other fun activities.
Please look at some of the pictures below of the children performing a scene from The Emperor's New Clothes.
Fun in the Snow
Year Four have had some fun in the snow. We built snowmen, made snow angels, we tried to find out who could make the biggest snowball and who could throw their snowballs the furthest. It was SNOW much fun!
During our Science lessons this week, we worked in groups to make our own switch. We then tested it in an electrical circuit.
Here are some pictures:
Our Advent Calendar
As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus, we will be counting down the days a little differently. We will be sharing our Advent promises: the positive, kind things we are going to do for others during Advent.
We have learnt that electrical energy can be converted into heat, light, sound and movement energy. We have also learnt that we are going to have lots of fun learning about electricity.
This year is a very exciting year because we are taking part in our Sacramental Programme.
As part of our Reconciliation we need to learn the Act of Contrition. Please help us to practise.
Oh my God,
because you are so good,
I am very sorry that I have sinned against you,
and by the help of your grace,
I will not sin again
