Sports Funding Report 2016

Sports Premium Funding.

The Government is providing additional funding to provide new, substantial primary school sport funding in order to improve the provision of physical education and sport in primary schools. This funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to schools to be spent on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children. All state-maintained schools, academies, middle schools, special schools and pupil referral units which have primary aged pupils will receive the funding.

Sport

Sport is a central part of life here at Our Lady of Grace RC Primary School. The school runs clubs in football, netball, chess, rounders.  We also have after school clubs running on a Monday evening and a Friday evening. These clubs are run my specialised coaches from the company QFirst Sports, in a range of areas such as, gymnastics, dance, multi skills and athletics. Over an academic year every year group will also get the chance to be coached by a specialised teacher from QFirst Sports, in their PE lessons.

The school enters competitions organised by the Prestwich and Whitefield Junior Sports Association (PWJSSA).
